Why walking daily is good for you

Here are just a few reasons why you should indulge in a brisk walk each day.

  1. Research conducted by the University Hospital of Saint-Etienne in France has found that walking just 15 minutes every day can lower the risk of early death by 22 percent.
  2. Studies by the University of Massachusetts in the US show that people who walk every day have 25 percent fewer colds.
  3. Psychologists at the University of Illinois in the US found that taking a daily 20-minute power walk for six weeks had effects comparable to a course of psychotherapy.
  4. Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) proteins, which are released while walking, repair memory neurons in your brain and act as a ‘reset button’.
  5. Walking is a great way to enjoy quality one-on-one time with someone without the constant distractions of TVs, phones or computers.

  1. Do you mind if I quote a few of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your website? My blog site is in the exact same area of interest as yours and my visitors would truly benefit from a lot of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this ok with you. Cheers!

  2. Heya! I understand this is sort of off-topic but I had to ask. Does managing a well-established website such as yours take a large amount of work? I’m completely new to operating a blog however I do write in my diary every day. I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
