Last year I had a slightly envious look at several blogs that featured way too cute pictures of the summer course Swedish illustrator Camilla Engman held in Goteborg for interested parties. You got a tour of her workshop, and of her city, and she taught classes in painting and illustrating. And then there was food, accompanied by Camilla on accordion. I’ve been a huge fan for years, so there I am, behind the gingham tablecloth in the bottom picture. Illustrator/designer Dottie Angel also gave a workshop vintage crafting. See www.ritchieacecamps.com for this year’s courses. Rumour has it that French illustrator Nathalie Léte is among them…
And if you’re not that into travel, you can pick up all kinds of great stuff from the international illustrators that work for Flow sitting behind your computer as well. Like the Get Your Paint On Class by one of our favourites, Lisa Congdon, together with Mati McDonough. You subscribe to a written series of lessons including videos from these two ladies. Lessons last five weeks and start on July 9th. Have a look here: http://getyourpainton.typepad.com/get-your-paint-on/ for pictures that are bound to make you smile.
